From the EDITOR..
Greetings once again fellow flight sim fanatics! October is here, and it has come around very fast this year it seems. A little of bit of history is being created with this issue, as it is the first Computer Pilot issue to be labeled as “Issue 10” in the history of the magazine – a result of moving to a monthly publication schedule in September last year.
This issue represents our ‘Flight Simulator 2004 Special Edition’, with plenty of FS2004 coverage and content, including the full product review by Doug Horton and tutorial on editing sounds in FS2002/2004 by Peter James, among others. We also revisit Basic VOR Navigation, which many of you had been asking for in an expanded, illustration-rich flight lesson with Greg Trainer.
Speaking of Greg, he has now come onboard to assist us with web development, so look out for a new and expanded Computer Pilot website in the coming months. Greg is busy doing all the groundwork for the site at present, but once online, you will be able to see the fruits of his labor.
Combat simmers are still hanging out for Lock On: Modern Air Combat, which has been delayed again, but hopefully because the development team are working harder to make the final release version a real winner. I guess we have to wait and see!
As always, I hope you enjoy the October issue and if there is something we can do to make a better magazine, please feel free to email me with your suggestions – editor@computerpilot.com
