From the EDITOR..

Welcome to the March 2004 issue of Computer Pilot Magazine. Things are busier than ever at the Computer Pilot office as we work on bringing our internal schedules forward to reduce the effect that recent mail and delivery delays have caused for readers in certain parts of the globe. This process has to occur over a period of twelve months, but our aim is to continue to bring our deadlines forward so the magazine will get to readers and subscribers much earlier in the month. Please bare with us while we work toward meeting the new schedule. You will of course still receive issues on a regular monthly basis, so there is no real change in that respect.

The final touches are currently being applied to the new Computer Pilot magazine website. Keep an eye out at www.computerpilot.com for the new site. We hope it will provide a faster, more user-friendly interface to finding information about the magazine and updating your personal details.

Arturo Weiss has written a great piece on Mike Pohl and the ACES Flight Simulation Center. It’s a really great story well compiled and written by Arturo, so be sure to check that out first. Plus of course, there is a wealth more of quality content this issue that should catch many simmer’s interests.

For those looking for a reasonably good simulation of carrier landings, check out Lock On: Modern Air Combat. I must confess to spending the last few nights shooting carrier approaches in the SU-33. Great fun indeed and a sim that becomes more enjoyable the more you use it! Ok enough rambling, I do hope you enjoy this issue of Computer Pilot Magazine – the World’s largest, and only monthly print magazine for flight simulation enthusiasts!
